The Metal Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of aluminum curtains, doors and any related metal components. This includes measuring, cutting, machining, assembling and finishing parts according to shop drawings and specifications. The role ensures all work meets quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements.

The following is a brief overview of the position; however, the employee is expected to assist other staff as required from time to time in various duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Lay out, fabricate, assemble and caulk aluminum curtain wall systems

  • Measure, cut, machine and drill aluminum extrusions with precision according to specifications

  • Read and interpret shop drawings, architectural plans, blueprints and work orders to determine fabrication requirements

  • Operate fabrication tools and equipment safely and efficiently, including hand tools and power tools

  • Measure, cut, shape and assemble metal components for doors, frames, panels and hardware systems

  • Weld, rivet, bolt and securely join metal parts as required for assembly

  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality standards, measurements and tolerances are met

  • Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, sanding, polishing and deburring metal surfaces

  • Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition

  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and consistently use required personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Collaborate with production, engineering and quality control teams to meet production schedules and deadlines

Experience

  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.

  • Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Pay: From $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
