Feather Edge safety edges provide sensitive, contact-based obstruction detection for commercial sectional and rolling steel doors. Using air wave technology, these safety devices activate the door's reversing mechanism with minimal contact pressure, helping protect personnel, vehicles, and equipment during operation.

Designed for demanding commercial and industrial applications, Feather Edge systems offer durable construction, reliable performance, and reduced maintenance requirements. Unlike traditional contact-based safety edges, their design eliminates internal electrical contacts and is designed to remain functional despite minor punctures or tears.

    • Contact-sensitive safety edge for commercial and industrial overhead doors

    • Designed to detect physical contact with an obstruction along the moving door edge

    • Flat retainer configuration for compatible door installations

    • Suitable for replacement, repair, and new installations

    • Can be integrated with compatible safety edge switches and monitoring components

  • A yellow speed bump with black rubber part on the bottom, designed for traffic calming.

    Standard Featheredge

    • Available in yellow or black

    • Contact-sensitive safety edge with high-visibility yellow construction

    • Provides a more visible edge along the bottom of an overhead door

    • Helps detect contact with obstructions during door operation

    • Available for installations requiring a highly visible safety edge option

  • A gray electrical box with a connected tube, a gray device with black and yellow wires, and a tangled black power cord.
